Yes, our accessible locker signs meet the requirements of the BCA D3.6 Building Code of Australia and the AS 1428.1 Australian Standards.

Can I choose the colour of my accessible sign

Yes, as long as the colours meet luminance contrast guidelines. With accessible signage, the sign must have a luminance contrast of 30% with itself and the surface it is mounted on.

Is accessible signage legally required?

No, accessible signage for lockers is not legally required. But we recommend accessible signs to show which lockers are accessible.

Why is accessible signage recommended?

Good signage improves the experience disabled and non-disabled people have when accessing services. This helps people who are vision impaired to navigate their environment.
