End-of-trip

Client: Vantage Property Investments

Architect: Gray Puksand

Builder: McCormack Property Services

Location: Melbourne, VIC

A total of 90 lockers were delivered for the end-of-trip facilities at 420 St Kilda Road.

Configured as PS2 hanging lockers, the system incorporates integrated timber bench seating and shoe storage within the change facilities.

Finished in Laminex Bay Leaf with contrasting black ABS edging, the locker banks are integrated alongside ironing stations and towel storage throughout the amenities areas.

Access is managed via Ojmar OCS touch locks with custom brushed silver numbering for secure shared use.

Locker banks were manufactured ahead of the facility construction works to align with the project programme and installation sequencing requirements.

Locker planning insights

Common end-of-trip locker planning considerations that will help prevent operational, maintenance and user-experience issues later

Shared-use
operation

Most end-of-trip environments operate as shared-use systems. Lockers and lock systems should support intuitive and reliable shared-use operation across high- frequency daily use.

Peak-use periods before and after work can create concentrated movement through locker areas. Locker layouts should consider circulation widths, bench locations and access flow.

Wet-area
durability

Materials, ventilation and hardware selections should reflect moisture exposure, cleaning regimes and long-term durability within wet end-of-trip environments.

Ventilation
& drying

Ventilation becomes increasingly important where lockers are used for activewear, shoes, helmets and damp garments. Locker internals should support airflow and long- term usability.

Installation
tolerance

Allowance for installation
tolerances, floor variation and service coordination helps reduce on-site modifications and visible gaps during installation.

End-of-trip facilities commonly combine shelving, hanging and accessible lockers and seating within projects.

Made for inclusive spaces

Accessible locker options can be integrated within standard locker layouts to support inclusive workplace, education and change-room environments.

Integrated within
locker layouts

Accessible configurations can be incorporated within shelving and hanging locker systems to support inclusive spaces without separating users from the broader environment.

Supports accessible design requirements

Locker configurations can assist projects designed in accordance with AS1428 accessibility standards and NCC accessibility provisions

Designed for changing user needs

Inclusive locker planning helps future-proof facilities by supporting a broader range of occupants and visitors over time, including people with mobility limitations, temporary injuries, reduced dexterity or low vision.

Materials & finishes to fit your project

Lockin lockers are available in laminate, steel and hybrid constructions, with finishes and detailing selected around the operational, aesthetic and durability requirements of each project.

Laminate
finishes

Laminate lockers offer a wide range of commercial colours, woodgrains and textured finishes that integrate easily with interior palettes and surrounding joinery systems.

Steel &
powdercoat

Welded steel lockers provide durability, moisture resistance and security, with modern powdercoat finishes and perforation patterns increasingly used as architectural design elements.

Hybrid
options

Hybrid systems combine welded steel locker bodies for strength and durability with laminate doors and finishes for a warmer, furniture-like appearance.

Custom
detailing

Lockers can be configured with perforations, graphics, numbering, signage and ventilation detailing to support branding, wayfinding and architectural integration.
