Gym and change room
Client: CorePlus
Architect: Techne
Builder:
Location: Ascot Vale Vic
Custom shelving lockers were delivered for the CorePlus studio facilities at Ascot Vale.
Installed across reception and change-room areas, the locker systems were configured as H4 shelving lockers to support compact shared-use storage throughout the wellness studio environment.
Locker doors were finished in Laminex French Navy with contrasting white edging and integrated white locker numbering aligned to the CorePlus interior palette.
Access is managed via Keyless1 combination locks, providing simple low-maintenance operation for shared member use.

Change-room locker considerations
Made for active life
Shared and
allocated use
Locker layouts configured around both shared-use and permanent member allocated locker environments
Durability &
maintenance
Locker systems, materials, hinges and hardware selected around high frequency daily use and simplified long-term maintenance.
Ventilation &
airflow
Locker systems designed to support airflow for activewear, shoes, towels and damp garments across active-use environments.
Mixed locker
environments
Shelving, hanging, accessible and device charging lockers combined within coordinated layouts.

Designed around your project
Lockin lockers are manufactured to order and configured around the needs of each project - from dimensions and materials through to layouts, locking systems and accessories.
Flexible dimensions & layouts
Locker widths, heights, depths and internal configurations can all be adjusted to suit project requirements, available space and user needs.
Material & finish
flexibility
Available in laminate, steel or hybrid constructions, with commercial finishes including timber-look laminates, powdercoat colours, perforations and custom graphics.
Integrated lock & accessory systems
Locker systems can be configured with mechanical, digital, RFID or hardwired locking systems, alongside accessories such as seating, charging, mail slots, ironing stations and drying facilities.
Built for project-specific applicators
From workplace and education environments through to elite sports facilities and custom operational requirements, Lockin systems can be adapted to suit unique project briefs.
Specifier Resources
Download BIM objects, and Revit families built to inform and steamline design, project coordination and technical specification.
Locker planning insights
Common gym and change-room locker planning considerations that will help prevent operational, durability and user-experience issues later
Ventilation
& drying
Ventilation becomes increasingly important where lockers are used for activewear, towels, shoes and damp garments across high-use change-room environments.
Shared vs.
allocated use
Locker layouts and lock systems should align with how facilities operate, including shared-use, member allocation and flexible- use environments.
Circulation &
access
Locker layouts should consider bench locations, aisle widths and peak-use movement through busy change-room environments.
Durability &
maintenance
Materials, hinges and hardware should reflect high-frequency daily use by heterogeneous user profiles, cleaning requirements and long-term operational durability

Shelving, hanging and accessible lockers are commonly combined within commercial and community change-room settings, supplemented with bench seating.
Made for inclusive spaces
Accessible locker options can be integrated within standard locker layouts to support inclusive workplace, education and change-room environments.
Integrated within
locker layouts
Accessible configurations can be incorporated within shelving and hanging locker systems to support inclusive spaces without separating users from the broader environment.
Supports accessible design requirements
Locker configurations can assist projects designed in accordance with AS1428 accessibility standards and NCC accessibility provisions
Designed for changing user needs
Inclusive locker planning helps future-proof facilities by supporting a broader range of occupants and visitors over time, including people with mobility limitations, temporary injuries, reduced dexterity or low vision.
